The Columbarium at St. Francis of Assisi Church
The Columbarium at St. Francis of Assisi is located on parish grounds and is a consecrated resting place for urns containing the ashes of deceased parishioners, their families and former members of the parish. Other individuals may be accepted upon approval of the Columbarium Board.
Dedicated on November 1, 2019, the Columbarium is located very close to the Church and only a short distance from the banks of the Little River in Townsend, Tennessee, which provides a serene setting for reflection, meditation and prayer. Please take a look at the associated pictures to provide you with a feeling of how beautiful our Columbarium and “little Church on the river” really is.
Containing 96 niches, with each unit accommodating the ashes of two individuals, the Columbarium is maintained by a Columbarium Board and operated in accordance with the By-laws and Operating Procedures approved by the Diocese of Knoxville.
